Thank you for the warm welcome,

I was looking for a good resource on divorce proceedings and the emotional baggage attached to the whole nightmare, after reading the forums for a couple of hours I think I've found it!

I am divorcing my spouse after I found that she was having an affair. Everybody said that we were the 'perfect' couple and after being together for nearly 7 happy years I would have had to agree, but something changed in her, I don't know what, she is no longer in touch.

It was all very strange, she suddenly decided that she didn't love me anymore, and managed to convinced me that she had been lieing to herself since the beginning. However I soon discovered that there was another man on the scene. This revelation devestated me. I trusted her implicitly and the thought that she could do such a thing was never in my mind.

I am (very) slowly coming to terms with this, it has been a month since I found out. Good days and bad, like many of the others here. Some days I just cannot believe what I have lost and at other times I am looking forward to the future. Its just a complete rollercoaster at the moment. I desperately need some stability but the general consensus here seems to be that only time can provide that :(

So that's my story - in a nutshell ;)

I am sure you will find a lot of support and resources on this site.

It will take time to deal with the emotional rollercoaster but as someone said to me when i joined at least with this site there is someone to scream with you.
