Do you go to mothers and toddlers or anything like that where you might also meet other single mums with children a similar age? I was on my own for a time when my daughter was a baby and found a couple of great friends through this. Even though they had partners they were always willing to go on a girls night out. Do you have family or friends nearby who could babysit your daughter while you have an evening out or even could her father babysit an evening while you take time out. It may be hard the first time but once you have done it you will start to feel more confident. My daughter is 15 now and has her own life. More often or not she is out and I am in with her younger brother!
Your life will get better, it is so hard to start with but just the smallest step, like getting on this site, will help you move on.
Take care.

HI laura

Like others say it will get easier and if you can get a babysitter say once a week it will do you good .Meet up with friends or take up a hobbie.

When my sbex left i started ballroom dancing as it was what i gave up when i got married .IT WAS MY SAVIOR I HAD SOMETHING TO LOOK FORWARD TO AND MADE NEW FRIENDS PLUS GO TO BALLS ECT I LOVED IT.Plus it took my mind off the whole stress i was going through.Im not saying take up ballroom dancing but something you enjoy.

Good luck x
