Just a quick post to say hello, and introduce myself!

I'm Rach, just turned 36 and live with my 8 year old daughter.

I am divorcing my husband for unreasonable behaviour - he has just been found guilty of Battery, and was yesterday sentenced to a 2 year conditional discharge, made to pay court costs, and compensation for me - only £100, but it's better than nothing!

My husband assaulted me for the second time on 3rd January, and was arrested, charged and bailed to his parents house. The last 4.5 months have been chaos - house re-possessed, having to find another house for my daughter and I (I am on incapacity benefit), going through the court case and giving evidence, moving house, sorting out the debts etc, so you can safely say I'm worn out with it all!

I'm hoping you can all give me some advice about the divorce, as it's a very complicated situation financially. When I have a bit more time (got to go and pick my daughter up soon), I'll post in more detail.

Anyhoo - nice to be here!

Rach :)
