Hi, I have been seperated from my wife for over a year. She found someone else after 30 years of marriage. She took our 8 year old daughter, our 20 year old son decided to stay with me. We share all finances and child care equally.Although nothing has legally been agreed we have both stayed amicable and took our responsabilities seriously. When we split it was a serious shock to me and I suffered a mental breakdown and found myself in a hospital suffering from severe depression etc. I am OK now and enjoying life with a new girlfriend. Anyone who is going through hell now, you are not on your own and things really do get better.

Hallo and welcome Florider

So good to read the positives. My own 31-year relationship ended 11 months ago when my husband moved in with another woman.

I went through hell, but after months of counselling, anti-depressants, selfhelp books and the wonderful people on this site I can honestly say that I have never felt happier.
