Hi, i put serial divorcee in the title bar as i told my dad thats what i am now! Am just about to be divorced for the 2nd time, both marriages only lasted 3 years, both were abusive, felt very ashamed that i could have fallen into another abusive relationship but nothing to feel guilty or ashamed of.

My ex is fighting me for joint custody, attempting to brainwash me and send me crazy, have posted in child custody board about it.

I have a new partner (am being divorced for adultery despite meeting new partner after ex walked out on me) who is completely supportive, he has survived 2 abusive marriages but there is very little support out there for battered men and he still has a lot of issues, but we are helping each other. We are both gutted that we had to suffer so much before finding each other, but here at last. But to those reading this that are suffering, never give up hope, i vowed never to love/trust/marry again.

Anyway, am just over 2 weeks away from my absolute, nisi was granted on 27th april. I found the 2nd split/divorce is proving to be a lot less painful than the first, but have had this site bookmarked for months but only just found the guts to post here.
