Hello to you all. Hope a lot of you have got things sorted and are now helping folks like me.

My wife who I have lived with for 14 years (married only for 1.5) decided to leave me on boxing day 2008 (5 months ago).

I went to solicitor, had seperation agreement drawn up (all signed mid April) and have paid all the monies due as per the agreement and all the legal fees for agreement, transfer of title etc.

I have stayed in the MH as she could not afford to and it gave my 2 sons (4 and 8) a bit of stability. I never thought our relationship was that bad and most of our friends have said she was out of order as she had never gave any real reason for leaving just that we had been together a long time and she did not want to think "What if" for the rest of her life. Said she loved me but was not in love with me. I'm sure neither of those statements are true now.

Anyhow she was moving house on Friday and came to get bunk beds for kids which the agreement said she could have. She forced her way into the house (with my 4 year old there) and started taking things her mum or dad had bought over the years even though I'd already given access to take all she all she wanted when the agreement was signed. My solicitor has said she had no rights to take the stuff and no rights to enter the home.

She had a 10 minute rant at my before leaving just speaking utter rubbish.

She has taken he mattress from my youngests bed even though she already has 2 brand new ones but stood there shouting that I can't have my laptop as the kids need to get The Internet.

She has also demanded interest on her maintenance as I paid late when new mortgage was sorted out (this amounted to £1.70, yes, one pound and 70 pence)I gave her £2 and said to keep the change in case I paid late again.

She is demanding a copy of all music stored on PC although it's copyrighted and I DJ.

I get kids on Friday after school and return them on Sunday. As they had School Uniform on when I picked them up and went home dressed in normal clothes I ended up with no trousers for them but she will not return any. (I've bought more now)

I could go on about her blaming me and my new girlfriend for stuff that my son was not happy about but that was just rubbish that my oldest son said something different to.

I guess my questions are as follows:

1. Should I force her to bring back the stuff she forcibly removed on Friday through solicitors if required. It's not worth anything but she rams the agreement down my neck when it suits her

2. I guess this is the biggie. Has she went mad? Is she just annoyed that although she left me I just went and found someone else (who the kids really like and look forward to seeing). Is it the fact I kept the house.

I feel like she is treating me like I should treat her for leaving but for the sake of the kids I need to stay stong and keep my job, thier house etc and just get on with it.

Thanks in advance for all help opinions

hi

perhaps your wife just wanted a bit of space and the fact that you have found someone so quickly may hurt her deep down, but her pride will not allow her to show her true thoughts.

be careful this new lady is not a re-bound job, cos that brings its own problems. i know!

although i know that she left you, remember she is your childrens mum and love her for that reason if for no other and treat her well because long after the other woman(en) have left, she will still be around simply because of who she is and the better your relationship is with her, the better your relationship with your children will be.

take care

jo

Thanks for the reply JoannaA.

My wife was offered all the space she wanted and lots of alternative but she was adamant "That was it"

You are correct about the relationship with children and her as she is making it really difficult for me at the moment but I can't bend over backwards forever and this has to be a 2 way thing which at the moment it's not.

Anyone else got any advice?
