Hi, haven't really used this site but now feels the right time to do so. I did introduce myself the other week and since then life has taken a turn for the worse.

I went to see a family mediator for an exploratory interview yesterday. On a good note, he felt I had a good mediation case and could resolve any issues quickly. On the down side, I don't qualify for legal aid anymore. I've had to do extra work to pay bills, therefore I have now put myself over the threshold. I can't afford to pay for mediation and to put everything through the courts will cost thousands. All I can do is walk away with nothing. I have thrown away my childrens future by trying to pay my way and by doing what I felt was right.

Am totally devastated, to the point that I can't actually speak about it. God knows what the future now holds, all I wanted to do was move on.

:(

i cannot help but feel for you, i have a day to go before getting home and seeing the devastation that my wife has left for me. i am at sea and do not get home till Friday evening, i have been warned by neighbors that the house is empty, and they have not seen the kids about the village. i earn too much for legal aid, had a hold put on my bank account so i cannot even seek legal aid till it's lifted, that if the wife will sign the papers to do so.
