hi,i was told to leave the family home after 22 years of marriage with 3 kids, this was about 18 months ago and devastated me.Iam still very raw but was strangely led to believe things might get better between us until she recently got a new b/friend and has cut off all contact basically.i still get quite upset and emotional and miss the day to day contact with kids.
i was never unfaithful or violent but have only just realised i had a drink problem and have now stopped completely and get help with it .i am doing a course of CBT and delving into meditation which i hope will help.
I live on a houseboat in sw london and am an actor and have felt quite isolated in the past 18 months.i love my kids but the eldest doesnt really get on with me very well.i would like to talk to people in the same boat so to speak!im in my mid 40s,look forward to hearing from you all!!x

Hallo Stanley and welcome to Wikivorce

Pop into chat to meet people who are going through or have already gone through what you are going through.

Check out the events to see if you can come along and meet people in person.

This is a very friendly and supportive site.

Hi Stanley

Welcome to Wiki

There are lots of us in the same boat here. With me it was 18 years married with 2 kids, then my wife had an affair with a guy with no kids no mortgage but who made her laugh!

That was nearly 2 years ago, we are now nearly divorced, I have got a new partner and in between times I lost my job, but have no found a new job and things are looking up for me again.

So no need to feel isolated you are not alone.
