 Hallo - I think I'm doing this right (if nothing else it will teach me new computer skills!) I'm in London, separated 3 years. I live in the family home with our teenage children. I'll have to sell in three years or so. I'd like to divorce but husband wants to do it at same time as selling house, because he thinks it will be cheaper. I think we should get on with it. We agree on the children but possibly not on money. We've both had other relationships since, his more succesful than mine, but our split still feels surprsiingly raw even though I initiated it (and don't regret it), and we don't get on as well as the articles (those smug ones about "good divorces") say you should!

Anyway - happy to chat about this or other things, though I don't want to spend hours online. But I read about this in the paper last week and thought it seemed a brilliant idea.

Good luck all of you.

Hallo Emma

We've already met in the chat room. Welcome to Wikivorce!

People usually sort their finances out at the same time as the divorce. Some people find it easier to agree than others, but if you and your husband can agree it is cheaper and more pleasant.

Arguing about money benefits solicitors, not divorcing couples.

How old are your children? You could divorce now and agree to selling the house when the children reach adulthood perhaps.
