Hello everyone, my wife of 23 yearss announced just over 4 weeks ago she had a new man who she'd known for 6 weeks, last week she moved out of our home and into a new place with him. I now fully appreciate the depth of my feeling for her, but unbelievably we're already talking divorce and sorting out finances etc. We've been together 28 years, how can 10 weeks wipe out 28 years.:(

Dave welcome to Wikivorce

This is the site none of us wanted to be on, but we are all glad we found it!

You have had 10 weeks in which your marriage appeared to unravel, but the chances are that your wife has had longer to decide she wanted to be with someone else.

The emotional fall-out is overwhelming, but you will survive and find happiness again.

Everyone on this site is going through or has been through this turmoil and many of them are smiling now.
