I am already divorced and have been for many years.

Best thing I ever did. Instead of being one half of something I was the whole and I have made of my life what I wanted, circumstances allowing. Life has been bumpy but if it had been smooth what would have been the point?

The biggest thing I have learnt from being married and divorcing is that you cannot expect another person to complete you nor can you blame another for your own misery or failings.

I do think sometimes it is too easy when unhappy to blame something other than the simple fact you are unhappy.

I was told about this site by a friend who has joined so I thought I'd take a look. I may not require any advice on divorce but as a pretty mature divorcee maybe I can offer some in places.

Straight from the hip, plain speaking and maybe not always a desired response but you will always know exactly where you are with me as I don't pussyfoot around.

Life is a joke and that is the first lesson you need to learn if you are going to survive it mentally intact.
