Hi,

Read about the site in the newspaper this morning and it struck a chord! I'm a long way through the process compared to lots of people here and divorced 12 months ago.

My headlines are;-
We were together for 25 years
Married for nearly 20 years
Worked hard and supported my ex (who never worked) and our 2 children
Found out she was having an affair to my complete and utter shock and our relationship 'rapidly' degenerated from that point on
Went through a divorce using mediation to reach an 'agreement' but the whole thing was messy, emotionally distressing and completely threw me off track, especially when my children decided to live with my ex and her new partner.

The forum would have been really valuable to me during the whole process as there are so may questions, issues and emotions.

If there's anyone who I can help, encourage or generally support with my experiences (even if it's keep your head down and fight for what you think is right when things look bleak) then it will have been more than worthwhile signing up.

Hi Yoda and welcome

Like you, I found this site about a year after I could have done with it. But no matter the route we take, I'm a great believer that we get to where we're supposed to be eventually :)

Nice of you to offer your support to others... that's what makes wikivorce go round.

Pop into chat and meet some of our friendly members there some time
