Hi my name is pam,and i have just joined today

I am just coming to the end of my divorce and have done mediation and sorting out financial statis, however i would really like some help or advise from anyone>

I was at the solicitors the other day swearing the affidaviate to enable me to be granted negri Nisi, and my ex called me and told me that i have one month vacate the matrimonal home, and leave, my solicitor does not wish to take a court order out so close to divorce as this will add more hostility to the situation.

I have had to declare myself and my 17 year old son to the council as homeless in one month from now.

I have lived in the property for a year since seperation now, and cannot afford to rent somewhere privatly without finacial settlement of some sort, i was supposed to move out and for my ex to keep the property and he buy me out. and unfortunatly this has not happened yet.

Please if any one can advise or share any similar experience with me that would be really helpful.

thanks pam

Hi Pam. Welcolm to the site. This has never happened to me. But I know someone that it happened to. One of my freinds. What she did was ring up the council and they said to go and find somewhere private and they will help with the deposit and help with the rent etc. This they did and she has a nice flat for her and her son. She is on min wage. She struggles of course as there is not enough for the nice things in life but its a roof. Ring them up on Monday and explain the situation. Best ones and good luck. C.
