Have being going thru the divorce process for 10 mnths now ex refuses to disclose his finances with attempts from my solicitor and a mediator letter. Not entitled to legal aid - just above limit. What happens next? is it going to cost me a fortune to get sight of his finances. Will he be liable for any of the costs or is he just laughing?
Thanks

Hello

mediation only works if you are both happy to give and take talk and be honest about finances so by the sound of it letters from the mediator are a waste of money, solicitors letters can be ignored and often are,

To make to process more formal file an application for ancillary relief (form A £210 HMCS) then you both will need to complete form E which is full financial disclosure and exchange them before the first court appointment,

If a person refuses to complete forms or returns them late misses court appointments drags the process out ect the court can order them to pay part or all the other sides costs.
