Hi Robv

Welcome to wiki.

In Australia, if you've been married less than two years you are required to go to compulsory counselling to show that you have considered reconciliation. You will be issued with a certificate to show you have done this.

There's information about the separation/divorce process in the Australian Divorce Guide and also in our wiki Australian library .
