Been separated four and a half years, one ten year old son, have been putting off sorting divorce for several reasons, mainly financial, but have been advised to sort it, thought I would look here for advice, keep getting conflicting info from other sources. Husband was trying to do a DIY divorce stating all his terms but backed off in a strop when I pointed out one or two flaws.

Hi Baffled.
Welcome to wiki. You are in the right place for help and support.

You don't say if it is something specific youneedto know, or just general support?
The Forum has lots of topics available - You can read these and see if anything helps, or post a question yourself.

The chat is also a good place to just chill out or get advice on where things are on the site.

There is a free tools calculator at the top of the page which gives a very basic start guide to finances. Good luck hun.
