After 23 years of marriage my wife introduced me to her boyfriend last weekend and said she loved him and wanted to be with him so ater much soul searching and pain in the last week I've decided to look at my options which are confusing by the situation we are in Let me explain
About 3 years ago my wife and I moved into a house with my mother in law which she the mother in law paid for however all 3 of us are named on the deeds I financial support the whole family including our daughter who is just about to turn 20 and is at university and living away from home My wife has not worked on a full time basis since our daughter was born in 1989 and I even pay £40 plus a month to my wifes NI stamp so she will benefit from a full pension when the time is right

So if she was to leave how do I stand both financially and with regards the house in which we live

Can anyone help ??

Sussexram, welcome to wiki, in order to answer questions on finances we need the answer to these questions posted in a new thread here .
You will need to point out you and your ex share ownership of the marital home with your mother in law and what proportions it is owned in (is it 1/3 each or your mother in law owns half you and your ex the rest or some other agreement).

Regards,
Tets
