:( my partner is my world and she is so upset that this is all dragging on and on!
Hi everyone my partner is married to an Albainian who refuses to sign the divorce papers!!
We have just been told by the court that they have no managed to track him down at work "as he done a runner from his last address as the bailiff was looking for him" and serve him the papers! he has rang my partner to tell he he still won't sign! What happens next????
Does he have a time limit before something else happens? What will happen next?? My partner is so sad this is carrying on and on and just wants to be free from it all! Does he have to sign the papers? If not what and when will happen? I just want to help my partner be happy again

Can anyone help? Please!

If he has spoken to your partner and told her he has received the papers but won't sign she may be able to swear an affidavit to this effect with the court and the process can go ahead.

My partner's ex wife refused to sign the divorce papers but she made the mistake of waving them at him and telling him she wasn't signing, so his solicitor had him swear an affidavit stating this and the divorce went ahead and he's now divorced...

Thank you! Do you know your partner went about getting a solicitor to do an affidavit?
Cheers again

To do an affadavit at the solicitors you just tell them what happened, they type it up, you sign it and then they sign it to say that that is what you said.
