So sorry to hear you find yourself in this awful situation.Take heart that you are not alone. Don't rush yourself, don't pressure yourself, take it all in on your own time.
I completely understand what you say about affection.My stbx and I came here from another country. None of my family are here.Its 3 months down the line and I miss having someone to give me a big bearhug and just be there without having to say a thing.
Be kind to yourself and try and enjoy having your children around.They need you but you need them too.
