Like a few others im here because my wife of 22 years has decided she wants a new life. She's now got a successsful business (set up and run by her) and aafter some successes in the past I am now earning very little and she sees me as a sponge and a burden so im surplus to needs. She has an alcohol problem and a few other abuse habits and im ready to break out. We've got three kids 16, 19, and 20 but the issues of separation will not be about them, more the money stuff. How the house, the business and the assets will split.

Often the best starting point when deciding a financial settlement is to speak to a mediator who can help you both reach a deal that works for both of you.

Mediators charge less than most solicitors and act to help both party's unlike solicitors who work for one side only, the mediator can talk to both of you unlike the solicitors who often end up sending lots of letters back and forth all of which cost you both money.

Have a think about it and talk to your stbx it could save you both money and stress.

I replied earlier ronhill, to your previous post that as her business could be sold for many millions, (though that may be wishful thinking) you need to take specialist advise.
Conducting a divorce yourself is manageable where few assets are involved. You need specialist help as I said before.
