Hi everyone,

I just wanted to say hello and introduce myself. My husband and I are going through (another) rough patch. This is a recurring event in our marriage and I really want to believe that this time will be the last.

It boils down to the fact that I don't have the guts to leave him, I can't honestly say that I love him anymore ...

I don't know what else to say ...

Thank you for listening

Hallo Imscared

(((hugs)))

If you want to finish your marriage you have to bite the bullet and do it.

Not easy, but living in a miserable relationship isn't easy either.

I think many of us are conditioned into thinking we can't manage on our own - but we can.

Whatever you decide to do there will be people here to listen to you and help if we can.:)

Nell

It must be hard for you and him, rememeber he can still see the signs and hints, or aybe you can write it down, give him some space and time to reflect.

Take care

Thank you both for your messages of support. I'm so glad that I found this website ~ hopefully from here I will gain the courage I need to sort myself out.

Hi there and welcome - You say you are going through another rough patch and don't have the guts to leave him. I'm wondering what the problems are and what's led to this point for you? Splitting up is never easy, no matter how compelling the reasons. Please talk to your h and let him know how you are feeling. It may be he is feeling the same and doesn't know how to talk about it. At least that way, you'll have a chance to talk things through and perhaps you'll find either there is still something worth working on or you both agree you should split.

Keep posting and let us know how you are getting on. Take care, Bon

i stayed in a loveless abusive marriage for far to long. It took years to have the guts to leave but it was definitley the right thing - tough but knowing that I will be happy again and be me again has kept me going.
Hope you can find the courage to do it if it is the right thing for you

Nell is right. Sometmes you just have to bite the bullet and go.
Nothing worthwhile is ever easy. The best advice I had was from my financial advisor who made me see that financially I could manage just fine. Towards the end, financial fears were the only things that were keeping me. When I saw that I could manage on my own, I was off.
However you do have to be sure you are doing the right thing for the right reasons.
It took me over 2 years to get the guts to do it.
I am glad I have, but I still have very shaky moments.
Good luck.:)
