I didn't think it would happen to me. I had a good marriage. I loved my husband...he loved me...up until about 7 or 8 months ago, I was his best friend, he told me so.

I don't know what happened and I never will. Even if he sat down and tried very honestly to explain it to me, I just don't know that there are answers, so I'm working to 'divorce' myself from those things that drive me crazy and for which there are no answers.

I met my husband on the internet five years ago and we got on like a house afire right away. I already had loads of on-line friends, a mix of men and women, but he was special, we were both single, my kids were grown, I was planning on continuing my education in England anyway (a late blooming mature student), so flying from the US to meet him during a visit to family members in the UK seemed like the thing to do. Things blossomed from there, but what happened this summer, I don't know. What made it so much better to sit with her, a co-worker at the hospital, in the cafeteria drinking coffee and eating jelly donuts when he could've been talking to his wife? Don't know. Didn't mean for this to be so long, and it's not much of an intro!

I used to be an easy-going, happy-go-lucky, optimistic person, even if a bit cynical. And I know I'll get back on an even keel eventually, especially since I love the life I've developed in this country - it's just now missing one key component - my husband - but life will go on!

Thanks for the welcome Chrys!

I know I will come to terms with it all... it's early days yet, but just so aggro at times to have a good day and then a really truly rotten day...or both several times in one day!

This web-site is a great resource.
