Hi, you are in an awful position and I feel so terribly sad for you. I can offer you nothing but hope.

Hope in 2010 for happiness and strength and that you get a home for yourself as soon as possible.

Have you seen a solicitor? In Scotland if the former matrimonial home was bought with the intention of it being the family home you might make a claim even though you weren't actually married at the time.

Alternatively if you were not married co-habitants have limited rights and may claim for economic disadvantage they may suffer as a result of the relationship. It all depends on the particular facts.
