Hi,
I have just joined this forum and I must say if I knew it actually existed I would have joined a long time ago.

Oh where do I start?? Well I was in a relationship with my ex for 8 years and in that time we brought a new-build house and have a daughter who is now 3 years of age. I would really appreciate some help/guidance on several points which I will attempt to make clear in this post.

My ex partner has taken my job through making a number of spurious allegations which I could not defend, she alleged a number of things including Rape and Child neglect but has never put these forward to the police who I wish to add are her employers as they were mine...There are other issues but unfortunately I cannot comment on these as they are currently under investigation by her employers proffessional standards department.

My ex partner asked me to give her space and move out of our joint property in order for her to find alternative accomodation in May 09 which I duly did, a week later she had cancelled her mobile number and moved all our possesions out of the house including my Passport, Driving Licence and placed them into storage, she then told me though her solicitor to prove what property was mine and stated I could not get any of it back. She has denied taking my Passport etc..She left the house in a great mess..Rubbish strewn all over the back garden etc.

I have seen my 3 year old daughter only a handful of times and was paying child maintenance for her up until I lost my job, I have since had correspondance from the CSA acting on my ex's behalf (She knows I don't have a job.) She has now dropped the claim. Although she has spoke of child neglect through solicitors she still allowed me to see my daughter, a total contradiction.

She is now writing to me through her solicitors requesting that I sell the house a new build property that is in negative equity and is happy to issue a court application to force the property to be sold.

It feels like she has taken my Job, Possesions, Daughter and is now trying to force a sale of the house. I have lost everything, she still has her job and has moved 5 hours away from where I live making it even more difficult to have access to my Daughter quite difficult in terms of travel etc...She subjected me to domestic violence over a long period of time and my crime. I am job seekers allowance and all I have to my name is my bed.

I would really appreciate any help or guidance on the above aforementioned points that I have raised. I'm no expert on Family law, so don't know really where to start. I am entitled to legal aid which is a bonus.

Thanks very much, its really nice that people can actually relate to their problems. I need advice with regards to the Childrens Act and issuing a Section 8 order with conditions attatched so that I can actually see my daughter, how long does this process take? Also advice on civil law in relation to regaining my property back and what would actually happen if she has sold the property, would this amount to theft? We wasn't married, but was in a common law partnership for just over 8 years if that helps.

Thanks again for your support.

Rob
