Hi,I've got the same issue. I came from other country and my husband had a house and assets. I left a good career opportunity in my country but came to live with him. We were togather for 4.5 years in total, no children and he is divorcing me. I have no job, I was a housewife. My Diploma is not valid here and I have to retrain. Everything in his sole name, house worth £450 000 (£30 000 mortgage left to pay and £80 000 loan to his father who paid deposite for the house. However my husband always told me that it was gift with no need to return). Also he has £55 000 in bank account and pension asset of £20 000. He's got extra £250 000 in his family trust what he is saying I can't claim.
He is offering me £105 000 lump sum, car worth £8 000 and maintanance £7 000
Is it fair or I am selling myself cheap? I have no one to advice me and he is pushing me for a quick answer or we go to Court.
Please, advise me.
