Hi everyone,

I'm Smooshy (aka Julie) and am in the process of a long protracted divorce at the moment. Been to court 3 times for Ancillary Relief proceedings now and am awaiting final judgement which I should get by the end of next week.

I'm still living in the marital home with my husband which is beyond stressful as you can imagine, and have been visiting the chatroom to rant on occasion. To those of you who I have met there, I would like to say a huge thank you for listening and for making me feel most welcome.

Besides that, I'm a very proud mum to a musically talented daughter who is also my best friend.

I play guitar and sing backing vocals in an all female rock band - which has helped me through the last 3 years tremendously, having something else to focus on besides my own problems.

My band has just entered a competition to win a 30-minute slot on stage at GuilFest, (3 day music festival in Guildford) and we would appreciate it greatly if you could vote for us please.

All you need to do is go to our artist page here:

www.ents24.com/TheUnderwired

and click on the 'Vote Now' button.

The more votes we get, the better our chance of winning;
plus if we win, every person that voted for us will be entered into a prize draw to win a pair of weekend camping tickets for GuilFest 2008 and see us play live!

Thanks for all your support in every way.

Love
Smooshy

Hi Smooshy,

I am at a different stage of divorce than yourself, I have just passed the Decree Nisi stage.

But I know what ever stage we are all at it is very hard.
It must be frustrating having to go through three Ancillary Relief Hearings and still no outcome yet. I'm not looking forward to that part of it myself. Luckily for me my stbx husband doesn't live in the marital home.

Our marital home is on the market, and it will have to be until someone actually takes a chance in the current market, and makes us an offer. Until it is sold I can't move on to where I want, as funds from the sale are needed for me to put a deposit on a Home-Buy Property. This is the only way I can stay on the property ladder, as I can't afford to buy my stbx husband out or take on the mortgage on my own.

On a happier note I voted for your band The Underwired, I thought the song was appropriate for all on Wiki.

Good Luck with the vote and with your final hearing once the Judge makes his/her final decision.:cheer:

Regards
CrusaderGirl
