Hi all, I'm new to this so go easy on me ok lol just been dumped by my common law wife after 16 years, she got out of my bed & into a "mates" bed overnight:ohmy: suffice to say I didnt see it coming, my question is that she has a substantial amount of cash coming her way & she's left me & my 14 year old daughter with nothing, is there any claim that I can make on a percentage of this money? we'd made holiday plans, planned to change the car, pay off some debts etc, she been with her new partner for 3 weeks & I was with her 16 years, why should he get any benefit from this money? thanks everyone

Sadly, co=habitating couples have very few legal rights when it comes to seperation. I hope that your x-partner finds in her heart ot be fair and resonable.
