Hey everyone and anyone out there.

This is my first thread, so bear with me please.

My Decree Absolute is due in 2 weeks. Seperated for just over 3 and a half years.

I see my 2 girls (10 & 2) most if not every night in the family home to try and retain some form of normality. They stay overnight with my at my house at least one night per week.

I pay the family home mortgage, plus my own, plus a fair amount of mosty other things. Extra curricular clubs, lessons, etc.

I am on the verge of not being able to cope financially. I am not only worried, but becoming depressed about the possible scenarios.

The divorce was obtained fairly amicably and cheaply but did not involve the finances.

I know it depends on annual income and number of children, but can anybody suggest would would be considered a fair monthly payment based on general concensus.

Till now it has been in the region of £600 + pcm !! I really would give my children my every penny and want the very best for them, but I cant keep on and need to know what other peoples experiences are and how they resolved them......amicably.

Any little snippets would help and be greatly appreciated.

Thanks and good luck to you all.

I think you need to apply for ancillary relief, as whatever you decide informally, however amicably, can be overturned at any time - and often are if someone's circumstances change; usually when one or other of you get a new partner...

There are links above that explain how to apply.
