Hi there

and welcome to wiki. After 20 yrs separation, you wouldnt be liable for his debt, its only when it is to do with the marriage, so i wouldnt worry, and you can apply to your local court for the divorce forms and do it yourself, quite easily, a few hundred pounds thats all, someone will probably confirm the amount for you.

Take care Joy

Also, i would write to the agency and tell them you have no idea where he is. Rather than ignore things.

Hi there,

regarding the debt collection agency, they could have it wrong, they might be looking for someone with the same name.
How long since he lived at that address?

Just return unknown at this address, some of these debt collectors will try anything to get their money, and have been known to chase the wrong people.
