Hi all, I do not know where to start, I have been seperated from my husband for what will be 4 years april 09..The reson neither has done any thing about divorce etc is because we still got on pretty well and there was no hurry., this though has all changed recently.

My husband has been in a relationship with his girlfriend for 2 years i think...not a problem.. I have just started to see someone and my husband decided to take a early sunday morning drive this week and discovered my boyfriends car outside my house, this is whats changed every thing, he now has informed me that no one stays in the matrimonial home while he pays the mortgage, that he's halving the maitenance money he gives me ( we have 2 children, 1 who's left home and a 13 yr old daughter who lives with me) anyway after a awful week..the only thing i can do now is sort out a divorce and what im going to do about the house. So this is where my question comes in.. where do i start...House up for sale? Buy him out? soliciter? divorce? I know i cant get legal aid ( on the border line)so money is a big issue..but I feel we both been pretty laid back and now its time to move on ... I just dont know where to start or whats the best thing to do..

Can anyone help??

Julie

Hi Julles

welcome to wiki - you will find lots of support, advice and help here. Im sorry you have to be here, but its the best place to be.

I think you need to seek some legal advice regarding your situation asap, most solicitors offer a free intital consultation, and if you go armed with specific questions, you will be able to make the most of the free time.

The chatroom is always open, and a great place for some company, support or just good old steam-venting! You will be made to feel very welcome.

Take Care

Ruby

PS - my 300th post :)
