Hi, I've just discovered this site TODAY - wish I'd known about it when I started proceedings last year!

I've already got my Decree Absolute and am in the process of undergoing an extremely stressful financial settlement. I was married for some years to a man who turned out to be very abusive. Instead of mediation, he's asked for a court summons to be issued. Although I have a solicitor, I'd be grateful for any insight from anyone that could help.

Hi and welcome, sorry I can't give you any advice, still at the beginning of this horrible experience but there are many people who know their stuff. Ask away and they will help.
