Hello
I'm English I got married to Pole in London 26 years ago we moved to Poland and have been here for the past 16 years. Having 2small kids I was gritting my teeth for the sake of family life for the first 8 years going through the hell of watching the marriage tearing ferociously apart until finally clearly we were unable to bear our life together any longer he moved out.
Divorce was always on my mind but I was so put off by the scaryness of it and half hoping he would be the 'petitioner' then I told myself as he wsn't around that as long as we had our own life it was unnnecessary . Now after 8 years apart and crucially grown up kids I have decided I must do it.So here I am hopefullly to find some answers to some tricky questions about mysituation being a Brit with A british Marriage certificate but resident In Poland.

Are you asking me if you can divorce in the English Courts?

If that is correct, for how long have you lived in England since your return from Poland ?

Mike
