I'v just seen a solicitor for initial advice and basically re splitting assets, it is usually 50:50 unless there is any reason to deviate - they look at all sorts including length of marriage.

Re maintenance - this again is on a case by case basis and you would need to get advice from a solicitor - for this, as with the asset split, you need detailed financial info. Maintenance for a spouse is separate to maintenance for children.

Very brief advice but there appears to be no hard and fast rules and it is really decided on a case by case basis.

There are probably people on here who can help more.

Take care and look after yourself

The housing needs of the children take priority; along with their parent-with-care.

Once Pensions etc are factored in; many cases go 70%-30% in a wifes favour; and you may be awarded a larger share of the property; in exchange for future pensons split.

CSA rules (I think!?) are 20% of his income, (for two kids) so don't be accepting anything less!
