Hi all, i'm 40 years young and have been divorced for 8 years now. I have one son aged 14 in Nov. In short, my divorce was a complete walk in the park compared to two subsequent bad relationships. My divorce cost very little financially and I lost a husband but gained a wonderful best friend whom oddly enough comes in the same shape and size as my ex husband ... wait a minute, it is my ex husband!

Sadly this is not the case since then. In my first post divorce attempt at a relationship I suffered DV and now stand to lose my home due to a legal charge back he has on the property. My second attempt at a post divorce relationship has ended in financial ruin as he conned me out of all my savings! Not bad for a fairly bright girl who holds a degree and is a practising child protection social worker ... should have know better my mum says. Well, I do now lol!!!

Anyway hope to make new friends and have interesting conversations about ... just about anything really.

Thanks for reading

Hi Daisychain
Welcome to Wiki,
Your story similar in a way to mine, fairly easy divorce, dont think I got all I was entitle to but that was 10 years ago hey ho. Got mixed up in a relationship with a right twat, dont know why, buffer zone? did not want to be alone?
He ended up showing his true colours and got violent.
So you are not alone!! Mrs Jenny F***wit that is what I called my self for ages!!!

But there again, there is not a mannual out there on how to be perfect and clever and strong and.......
Anyway, hope we can lighten your problems and your day.
Zara

Hi Daisy

Your story is identical to mine even down to social work degree!!

My first husband of 18 years has turned out to be a true friend recently whilst i'm divorcing dic*hea* number two of 14 months who ripped me off of 28K and became violent when i asked questions about where my money had gone.

Since i have been here on Wiki the support has been fantastic, i am broke and nearly homeless but i try to get on Wiki as much as possible and i've even had a whine or two and the support shown has helped me immensely.

Look forward to seeing you in chat

I think we were seperated at birth lol

Take care
