My wife and I married 2 years ago after a short engagement and having never lived together. She had 2 kids from previous relationships.
I paid off all her debts, including 20K to credit cards alone, renovated and extended her house from 2 bedrooms to 5 bedrooms, paid for renovations and paid of her mortgage in full. I made her dreams come true by paying for a business she always wanted and which she still runs and after 1 1/2 years I get turfed out with no option to stay and resolve things or even have mediation or counselling.
She now has a new lover that she denies exists, whereas I have been truthful all along. This lover has been in the background the whole time we have been married and just after we married she said she thought he was pathetic for flurting with her knowing she was newly married. So no sympathy from me then if it all goes wrong, she knew this guys colours before she got involved !!
I feel sorry for this new guy in a way as i am sure she will be setting him up to do the same, but as he tried to interfere in our marriage I will be happy if he gets what he deserves.
I am stuck in a tiny wee damp wooden house with no money to get back on the property ladder again till she decides to give me back what she took off me.
So if I sound bitter then do not be surprised !!
