Hi, I’m about to embark on a divorce from my wife of 14 years. We are both pretty much in agreement about the need to go our separate ways but to be honest I’m terrified about what I will be left with at the end.
I’m a retired Police Officer with a good pension. I also work part time, so I have a good income. My wife has a low paid part time job and doesn’t pay any bills. I worry I’m going to be taken to the cleaners and be lucky to have enough left to pay rent on a bedsit. On top of that I’ll have to work till I die rather than a pleasant retirement.
So my question, is there light on the other side?

going through second divorce now. not good short and no children and she just wants money
there is light and there is hope. try and stay positive but it is very hard at times. keep going and yes there is hope and you will get through this. sometimes it does seem a bit bleak but just think about the positive things if possible. hard though and best wishes
