Hi -just decided to register after months of guest visits.

Been separated ages now, getting divorced-my choice. STBX led me a right old life, I managed to stick that for yonks. He then did something really abominable & I could stick no more!

Still going thru'tons of emotions including even missing him sometimes-missing who I THOUGHT he was!!But very sure of my decision.

Nervous about the financial arrangements, I have put in a lot more than he has, so stand to lose a lot.

Hope for some support. Thanks!

Hi there Drucilla
Is that not the name of one of the ugly sisters in Cinderella. surely all of us gals here are the Cinders whose Prince Charming fell down and out with sleeping Beauty- maybey they were just sleeping with a beauty!!

Only kidding!

I think what you are feeling is really normal.
I dont think it matters who/how you get here but you have and the emotions of "grief" are still real.

I thought my ex was a different person than he is (and Like disney - i placed human emotions on a cartoon character) (and no I am not really obsessed with Disney - I just came that way today!!!)

I have read a few books and looked up other stuff on the internet about the stages of divorce - the Relate books are good - they help you realise that these feelings are normal

You will also get lots of support from Wiki. Lots of smart people who have been hurt and going through the same things

look after yourself and dont be too hard on yourself.

xx

No worries about the name! It's just one I cobbled together from various bits & bobs in order to be anonymous! Hadn't thought of Cinderella's sisters, oh dear!!

Thanks for the thoughts & advice, I'll have a look for the books etc..you mention.
