After 5yrs apart best way to divorce

Hi all I am Chris
I'm after advice on best way to get divorced as it will be 5yrs in next week September 2021
I have paid the ex out with a disclosure so finance all sorted in 2017 via solicitors
Best way forward to apply for divorce
trying to avoid legal costs solicitors etc

If you have been separated for five years no agrement is needed. You can fill in and submit the paperwork yourself. www.gov.uk/apply-for-divorce
You will still need to pay the court fee of £550.
Even if you have sorted out the finances you still need a legally binding financial order to prevent future claims. This can be done via an online service such as the one offered by this site. The court fee is £50.

Ultimately yes. But first you need to petition and then get the Decree Nisi. There's lots of guidance on this site to explain the process.
