Hi ,
Good Day yo everyone here.
I am completely lost at my lowest point in my life when my my husband ask for separation or divorce. I need your advise to enlighten my mind.
We are married for 14 years now, my husband asked for separation fort the reason that he is no longer happy with our marriage. he admitted that he started seeing someone “friend” and possibly leading to having a romantic relationship. this was very unexpected to me and i was in shock. He even wanted me to sign a Separation Agreement for him to be legally free. of course i didn’t sign the agreement.
We are still living in the same home “matrimonial home” In our situation im emotionally battered, mentally drained knowing he is seeing someone. He cannot leave our home for the reason that he has nowhere to live.
I asked him to apply for divorce rather that separation agreement, but until now he didn’t apply for it. So now i decided to apply for the divorce for the reason that i wanted him to leave the house so i can start to move on and heal.
My question is, can i force him to leave from our matrimonial home? ( this is a joint mortgage). I ask him many times to leave, but he said he is not ready and he even told me that even after divorce he will stay until he is ready to move. Second question is which is best for us judicial separation or divorce? third question is can we keep our joint mortgage and continue paying even after divorce? also what grounds is best if i will apply for divorce?
please, your advise is badly needed at this difficult time.
Kind regards,
Mhelay
