Hi

I am new to this site. Seperated from my husband 7 and half years ago. I filed for a Divorce 6 years ago, and every letter that was sent to his apartment he never replied to.

Every meeting that was arrange for him to turn up at to sort out arrange via our house and child, he never attended.

So cutting the story real short, the Judge as now arrange for him to be sent to jail, because he as not responsed to any of our request. The paper works won't be filed at the courts in front of a judge until 4th Nov.

In the mean time it is costing me so much money; all this game playing for so many years.

All I wanted was for this man to sign the divorce papers and let me get on with my life.

I have now finished working as from the end of September
because I have a disable child to look after.

Does anyone know what rights I have after all these years of waiting just to get a divoice???? Can the property be signed over to me with out him now.

My lawyer did say I won't loose the house because of my disabled child. But can i claim back any thing for waiting so many years while my ex plays games with my life.

I gave up my full time job to look after this child and just worked part time.

I am really fed up at the moment, it just feels like I am just paying out money and not getting any where to the end of this divorce.

Has anyone got a word for me

Poor you. :(

It does depend on the overall circumstances of your individual case, but in the last case I heard of this happening the court signed over everything to the petitioner and the other party was ordered to pay the legal costs.
