I have been married 11 years and have found out my husband has been having affairs, he works away 1 month on 1 month off, and has just dropped the bombshell he wants to split.
This has devistated me as you can imagine.
He wants me to leave our home and just take what he thinks i am entitled.
This is the problem, i dont know what that is.
he is earning £8000 a month and i £ 600 a month. When we first got married we both owned property which we sold to buy the home we live in now.
I live here all year round he uses the place like a hotel.
Am i entitled to maintanance, he doesnt pay taxes in this country so where do i stand, all his bank accounts are abroad, can someone help?

Hi there

Welcome to Wiki - sorry ou had to find yourself here, but you have found a wonderful place full of peeps in your circs.

Firstly - dont leave the home - it is your home and he cannot force you to go.

Secondly, yes, you are likely to be entitled to sm as well as a good division of the assets after a marriage as long as yours.

If you read this thread:
www.wikivorce.com/divorce/Divorce-Forum/...G-IN-THIS-FORUM.html

and post that information, some kind peeps will give you an idea of what you are entitled to.
