Hello.
I would like to intoduce my self to this community, Im a little bewildered at the moment having to deal with the reality of divorce. I have been married for 33 years the last seven have been difficult and we have had no physical contact for many many years.

so this does not come as a surprise , we are going to try and settle.

through out our working lives I have been the main contributor and I had expected to settle on a 50 50 split because of the years we have been together. to complicate matters we took out a business loan on the mortgage to help our son set up a business of which I am a director.

the business failed, my W informs me that I should deduct the full value of the loan from the assets, and that she expect me to pay 60% of all bills since Im the main earner.

does any one have any views.?

this seem infair if on one hand she want 50% on divorce but expect a 60% split re bills.
