Hi im shaun have been seperated from my ex wife for approximately 18 months now have two children Molly 8 and Jamie 11.

In the time i have been split my ex wife has made it very hard for me to see my children more so now as i have a new partner,In the eighteen months i have been split i have carried on paying the mortgage which is £771 per month instead of paying into the CSA.

I have become extremely frustrated at not seeing my children so threatened my ex with not paying the mortgage which did not seem to have any affect on her so therefore last month i canceled the mortgage payment.

Since that has happened i have recieved two threatening letters from her solicitor the most recent stating that my ex has applied for ancillary relief and that if mortgage payments were not reinstated to the mortgage lender then she would be applying for interim maintenance, I have no problem in paying CSA for my children as i have always provided for them.

My questions

Would it be worth and in my best interest to contact the CSA now so that my children are receiving money from me, what is ancillary relief and what is interim maintenance

Many thanks

From a very confused Shaun .

Hi Shaun,
Personally by threatning your wife she will get more stubborn and it will turn your children against you and you are making your children homeless. It is 50 - 50 responsibility and your wife should be pleased you want to see your children my ex doesn't and he suggested a couple of hours a week which insulted my children and they hate him with a passion which is so sad. You have left it such a long time to see your children I dont know if you could repair your relationship but you should try no future partners are worth your own blood. It is only money and it certainly isn't a game.:)
