last september i told my husband id had enough of his drinking, posessiveness and jealousy. after 20 years id finally come to the end of the line. he seemed to take it ok, then the trouble started.

we had just finished building a house together but the old one was yet to sell so we had to continue living in the same house for the next 6 months, until the night he put me in casualty.

he moved out that night, in with his new girlfriend. thats when the trouble started.

he has yet to pay me a penny in maintenance, continually hassles me, bad mouths me at every opportunity and generally wants to make my life hell.

the only thing i want is my Decree Absolute, but he has at every corner delayed even the Decree Nisi.

my solicitor is so slow that every time i speak to him he has only just actioned what he promised the last time.

i suppose i just want advice on how to get this over as quickly as possible.

iv thought about just agreeing to everything he says, but why should I?

No you shouldn't, and it's what he wants anyway. I'll be dealing with much the same thing once it starts.
Good luck, see you are in chat tonight and I'm sure someone will have some good advice.
xx

I have had pretty much the same thing, he still has some form of control over me and will have for the next 8 yrs until our youngest is 18, we split in Aug 05, Absolute Oct 06, even had our Final hearing in July 08 he paid once , this is a man that just won't pay nor take any form of responsibilty for his children no form of any contacy with his kids, like you i have felt like giving up telling him where to shove his money but i know that will not be the end of it.I would rather this form of control then the control he started out with and that was taking me to court over the children and reporting me to Social Services so i' am playing his game still , he won't win this he will have to give up first yes at times i feel down by it all but for every day that passes and i'm no longer with this violent moron i get that little bit stronger.
