Greetings! I just found this forum and am pleased to be a member. I am a resident of the states and will have been divorced 10 years tomorrow! I was married to a Police Detective for 26 years and as my children grew I quickly realized that my life was no longer what I had envisioned it to be. Armed with that knowledge I embarked on a new journey to freedom. It was difficult as I was a stay at home Mom with no means of support for myself or my kids. I am a very determined, strong willed lady and eventually found my way to the surface of what I was facing. Several court hearings later and after many nasty exchanges between my former spouse and myself, I have found my way and have never looked back. I am now a Teaching Assistant with my local school district, have two wonderful grown children and two funny Boston Terriers. That's the Reader's Digest, sugar coated version of the last 13 years of my life and I am hoping that I can be a testimony to the fact that it can be done, regardless of the circumstances. I welcome the opportunity to chat with members here and I appreciate the time that will be offered to me.

Well thank you for the warm welcome! Life can deal you a pretty bad hand sometimes but you have to pick yourself up, dust yourself off and keep on keeping on. I look forward to sharing with the group and anything I can do to help will be my pleasure.
