Hi
This is my first post on here, although I have have found great comfort from reading other peoples stories and realizing that I am not alone in going through this.

My story is that my husband of 18 years(together for 23 years)decided in June that he didn't love me any more and left me and out two children (aged 15 and 17). We had been having problems for a few years but thought we were quite solid.:( I suspected that he was having an affair which he denied....

He has the children to stay every other weekend and I have had to encourage the children to go to see him as they have not been keen as they are angry with him for breaking up the family.

I found out yesterday that he introduced the children to his new girlfriend in Sept and she is all but living with him and is there most weekends when the children go to stay.

I feel so angry that he didn't tell me what was going on, so that I could be there to support the children. They both didn't want to tell me for fear of upsetting me and I hadn't told them as I wasn't sure and didn't want to upset them..... what a mess.

Thanks for letting me pour all this out but I feel so upset and cross about this.

Hi DC. Welcolm to the site. I am so sorry that you had to be here but you have come to the right place. Taking part is loads better than reading and I am glad you took the courage to post.

I know its awful. Finding out that he is with someone else hurts like nothing else. But at least you know now. There are loads of us with the same problems as yourself and lots of help and support on the site. Just be kind to yourself and start thinking about you for a change. He hasnt broken the family up. U still have yr kids and you will be fine. He has just left. Thats all. But I know what this is like. You will feel the loss of it and understandably you will feel anger. But it will pass. Go into chat if you feel like it. U can have a good old moan there and no one will mind. We will never tire of you. Best ones, C
