Dad, mid 30's, wife walked out taking son after 2 yr marriage 6 months ago.

Not getting any easier.

How does anyone get through this remotely whole?

Hi Saturdad
Its not easy but wiki is a lifeline for the days when you can't physically get out of bed. Hopefully you also have good friends around you as well. Are you still in contact with your child?

Fortunately, yes.

Nowhere near as much as I'd like, but the username gives a clue.

Sort of know what you are going through. Wife asked for a seperation 7 weeks ago (completely out of the blue) and my world fell apart. Now seeing the kids just twice a week. Please believe me that time does heal and try and stop thinking about all of the good times together and looking at your relationship through rose tinted glasses. This helped me get a better grip on my life and take some control.

Hope that helps in some way
