Hi,
not sure what to write really but feelin incredibly confused yet reading some of the other posts on here my problems seem a tad trivial.
Am currently in the process of divorcing my husband of 6 years. We have tried very hard to make the marriage work, but just cant seem to manage it to the point when we felt it was unfixable and separated. However,i still love him deeply and cant seem to move on. My friends say i need to start dating again as it has been a long while now but i cant because i still feel as though i am being unfaithful. We have one child together and my boy, his step son.
We have tried relate three times but every time he has backed out after two sessions. I had a weak moment last week and confessed how i feel and he suggested we talk, so he came round on monday. I tried to talk but he kept changing the subject, as he always does when we get to something that is important and which is probably partly why we are where we are at now.But i also appreciate the fact that i can be difficult as well.
Then i asked him to collect my son from a lesson on thursday as myself and his dad couldn t do it, we were both working over thirty miles away on that day, he called me at 9 to confirm that it was 10 that he had to collect him and then he forgot. The class that he was at phoned the school and then phoned him and he eventually turned up. He apolgised to the school and the class but i was cross, and he said "so what?" and he makes me feel like i am being unreasonable at being cross with him but i dont think i am. He says it was nothing to do with me. i invited him up tonight to clear the air, i cooked him a nice meal and i felt like i had made an effort. He brought up the subject of not picking him up, i said that i felt we had done it to death but i still felt cross about it, as it made us look bad as parents. He said that this was ridiculous as he knows lots of people who forget to pick their kids up. At this point he said that he could nt believe i had brought him up to have a go at him and i have mental problems and need to take a long hard look at myself.
Well, didn t really want to introduce myself and have a rant at the same time but thats just how i feel, but how the hell do you move on? Its so hard.
