Many companies and organisations will accept a divorce decree and marriage certificate as documentary evidence of a change of name but some, in particular the financial institutions such as banks and building societies, will not accept a change of name unless it's officially recorded.

Thanx for that guys....I changed all docs, passport, bank, mortgage, job ...the lot ...no one has ever asked me for proof of divorce...just as well as it may never happen in my lifetime!!!

Ps...i worked as a fin advisor and they didnt ask for deed poll mane change or any other evidence either...I am more convinced i am insane and just dont know it...lol
