Hello there, I have been separated for five months (my choice) and have just started divorce proceedings. Struggling a bit with my decision even though I know I have made the right one. Good to know I am not the only one going through turmoil.

Hello to all, hoping to find the light at the end of the tunnel!

Hi anewme

Welcome to Wikki - I have been visting this site since last May - my marriage broke up in March and have found it very useful and a helpful (and fun) place to come.

Lots of people with similar stories and useful advice.

I hope you find it just as useful

Jolly:)

Thanks for the welcome, good to be able to chat to people who have been through the same.

Mostly I feel pretty good about things, though some of x's behaviour drives me nuts!

Hallo and welcome!

I think its normal to wonder if you are doing the right thing. I went through a stage of wanting my ex back, even though I had asked him to leave, and he was living with someone else and I KNEW that it wouldn't work out.

I think we just want to fix things and go back to when it was OK, but of course we can't go back.

I went through shock, disbelief, denial, grief and anger. I didn't just cry a river, I cried an ocean. I started seeing a women's counsellor and I also was briefly on anti-depressants. With their help, this site, and my wonderful friends who have all been there for me - even the ones I haven't seen in yonks - I have moved on. Ex I feel totally indifferent to and instead of being an emotional blob, I feel I can cope.

Good luck.
